These\u00a0investments\u00a0are expected to\u00a0generate\u00a0more than\u00a01,500 jobs.<\/p>\n<p>These\u00a0new resorts\u00a0will\u00a0increase accommodation and catering capacity in Inhambane province, which has seen\u00a0a\u00a0growing number of national and foreign travellers visiting the region,\u00a0\u00a0considered by many as the national capital of tourism.<\/p>\n<p>According to the provincial director of Culture and Tourism in Inhambane, Em\u00eddio Nhantumbo, the tourist resorts are also expected to improve catering and entertainment services.<\/p>\n<p>Em\u00eddio Nhantumbo said that, in addition to these resorts, there is a need to license private homes that are available to rent to tourists, with a view to accommodating a greater number of visitors visiting the province.<\/p>\n<p>The current capacity\u00a0can accommodate\u00a0around 20,000\u00a0visitors, a number considered insufficient considering tourist flows, especially those occurring during the End-of-Year and the Easter festivities.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, the Government has participated in national and international fairs, with a view to promoting Inhambane as a tourist destination and also to attracting more partners, not only to invest in accommodation, but also in entertainment and in human resources training.<\/p>\n<p>These actions aim to publicise the existing tourism potential and attract more partners to invest in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, 32 tourism enterprises were licensed, resulting in an increase in accommodation capacity to 8,306 rooms and 14,560 beds.<\/p>\n<p>Nhantumbo pointed out\u00a0that these\u00a0numbers still do not fully meet the needs of the tourists who visit\u00a0Inhambane province every year. \u201cThere is an ongoing challenge to increase accommodation capacity and meet the needs of tourists who stop over in the region\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/clubofmozambique.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Source: Club of Mozambique<\/em><\/a><\/h6>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forty tourist resorts are currently under construction in the districts of Mabote, Vilankulo, Jangamo, Inhassoro, Inharrime and Zavala, in Inhambane province.
